Volunteer Stories: Ron

Ron, Ticketing Support Volunteer.

Ron is an active volunteer but due to the global pandemic, Ron is classed as vulnerable being over 70 and has been unable to get out. By chance, he fell into a brand new volunteering opportunity, noticing his wife making scrubs for the NHS. 

"My wife told me she had a spare sewing machine and said she would teach me how to use it."

"So, I've learned a new skill and churned out scrubs bags and headbands by the dozen, and actually, surprisingly, enjoyed doing it."
