KELVINGROVE SKILLS FESTIVAL TO MARK ONE YEAR TO GO
Saturday 15 June marks one year to go until the first of 4 UEFA EURO 2020 matches to be played at Hampden Park next June.
To celebrate, UEFA EURO 2020 Mascot Skillzy will join local freestylers at a skills festival for fans and families outside Glasgow’s iconic Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.
The festival will feature a number of free football-based activities, including a freestyler octagon and power and accuracy cages, perfect for fans of any age to hone their skills.
Visitors will also be treated to freestyle performances and get the chance to meet Skillzy.
The festival is open to the public from 10am on Saturday 15 June, with Skillzy set to appear between 12pm – 2pm.
The event will offer a small taste of what’s to come next year when Glasgow joins 11 other European cities, including Rome, Bilbao and Bucharest, in hosting a special 60th anniversary edition of the European Championships.
Hampden Park will play host to 3 UEFA EURO 2020 group matches (15, 19, 23 June 2020) which will include two home games for Scotland if they qualify, and a round of 16 match (30 June).
Glasgow is expected to welcome thousands of football fans from both home and abroad to enjoy outdoor entertainment, guaranteeing a spectacular and accessible experience for fans, families and visitors alike.
