Fan Zone Tickets

A packed programme of live performances has been announced for the UEFA EURO 2020 Glasgow Fan Zone, with Glasgow Green set to showcase Scotland’s diverse cultural scene in a safe environment throughout the tournament.

The Fan Zone Festival will allow visitors to enjoy the sights, sounds and excitement of live entertainment again for 23 days, with everything from contemporary and traditional music, comedy and drag nights to cinema, dance and family entertainment, all within a safe COVID secure environment. 

Cultural events will take place on days when there are no matches – and the majority of afternoons when there is only an evening match – and will be viewable only from the Food & Beverage Garden area. The Fan Zone will be a largely seated venue, subject to relevant physical distancing requirements and all performances must be booked in advance.

The performances will be ticketed and will be largely free events, except for six selected performances priced at £20 per table, or £10 for an accessible ticket with access to the viewing platform for one person plus a free companion and will be available to book at 10:00hrs tomorrow, Thursday 10 June.

Food and Beverage Garden

When you book your visit, you’ll choose between the Food and Beverage Garden, and the Family Picnic Area. In the Food and Beverage Garden, you can book a table for up to six people, in line with Scottish Government COVID guidelines applying on the date of your visit. Tables have access to the big screens, a view of the stage for the cultural performances, a picnic area and sports activities. Food and drink, including alcohol, can be purchased.

Alternatively, you can book tickets for up to six people in the Family Picnic Area, which is not seated and is an alcohol-free zone. Some limited food and non-alcoholic drinks will be on sale, but you won’t have access to the Food and Beverage Garden during your visit. The official UEFA EURO 2020 Glasgow Fan Zone will be open every day throughout the tournament, at Glasgow Green and will provide a safe and COVID secure environment for Scotland fans and visitors alike to connect with and celebrate the tournament. A festival atmosphere will be created, providing an opportunity for communities to gather together and enjoy an exciting programme of sporting and cultural activity.

There are multiple sessions available to book. The Fan Zone will accommodate up to 3,000 people per session, largely seated in groups of up to six people

The Fan Zone will be a largely seated venue and will be subject to relevant Scottish Government physical distancing requirements. There will be large screens showing UEFA EURO 2020 matches, as well as a range of food and beverages showcasing the very best of Scottish produce.

Alongside the screened matches there will be a 10m Festival Tower hosting a range of sporting, cultural and digital content, as well as a family friendly sports activity programme encouraging everyone to get involved in the action. This includes a multi-use sports pitch showcasing community groups from across the city who will be part of the celebrations, as well as many other chances to get involved.

Tickets for all match sessions are free of charge and are still available to book.

Glasgow is proud to be one of 11 European host cities confirmed by UEFA for the EURO 2020 tournament. As part of Glasgow’s EURO 2020 celebrations, Hampden Park will stage four matches (14, 18, 22 and 29 June) and Glasgow Green will host a Fan Zone for the 31 day duration of the tournament (11 June – 11 July).

To comply with COVID secure guidelines the Fan Zone will operate for two sessions per day to maximise the number of people who can safely attend, with a gap in between to allow time for egress, cleaning and entry to the second session. Times vary slightly depending on the match schedule but will be approximately 12:00hrs – 15:30/16:00hrs and 16:30/17:00hrs – 22:00hrs.

The capacity will be 3,000 per session so a total of 6,000 per day, largely seated in tables of up to six people.

The Fan Zone aims to create a festival atmosphere, providing an opportunity for communities to gather and celebrate together with an exciting programme of sporting and cultural activity supplementing the screening of all EURO 2020 matches.

The Fan Zone will be a largely seated venue and will be subject to relevant physical distancing requirements. All sessions in the Fan Zone will be ticketed.

As well as large screens showing all UEFA EURO 2020 matches there will be a 10m Festival Tower hosting a range of sporting, cultural and digital content.

There will be a range of food and beverages showcasing the very best of Scottish produce, and a family friendly sport activity programme will be in place at the Fan Zone encouraging participation in physical activity. This will include a multi-use sports pitch where community groups which have been part of the UEFA EURO 2020 Glasgow ‘Play Your Game’ football programme across the city will be part of the celebrations. The pitch and other sport activations will also provide opportunities for spectators to take part in a range of sports, offering something for everyone.

A small amount of personal food and non-alcoholic drinks will be allowed into the Fan Zone for personal consumption only.  There are food and beverage units located throughout the Fan Zone for purchase.

Smoking is not permitted at UEFA EURO 2020 Fan Zones.

What type of tickets are available?

There are two type of bookings:

On days when there are no matches (and some of the afternoons when there is only an evening match), the Fan Zone will host a cultural programme including comedy nights, band nights and live entertainment. Details of the cultural programme will be announced soon, including where ticket charges will apply for selected performances.

Tables and tickets are allocated at the time of booking.  Tables are allocated at random and cannot be chosen. 

There is a limit of one booking per session per person. There is no limit on the maximum number of bookings that one person can make across the 31 days.

You must be 16 and over to make a booking for the Family Picnic Area.

You must be 18 and over to make a booking for the Hospitality Area.

No. Food, beverages and alcohol cannot be ordered at the time of booking.  All orders must be done via QR code once you arrive at the Fan Zone.

There is no “pass out” available, and no return into the Glasgow Green Fan Zone will be allowed once spectators have exited.

Tickets will be allocated around one week before the event date. This approach has been taken to ensure that tickets are enjoyed by genuine fans and to act as a deterrent to ticket touts.

Tickets are non-transferable. If you purchase a ticket and for one reason or another are unable to attend at the time of the event, please contact your point of sale. We encourage you to do this so that other people have the opportunity to attend.

We are, however, of course expecting to witness high levels of demand on the site, so would ask all customers to be patient, if they find themselves queuing. Food & Beverage Garden – One ticket will be issued per table and all members of the party must arrive at the Fan Zone and enter the Food & Beverage Garden together.

Family Area – One ticket will be issued for each individual person attending the Fan Zone.  All attending the Fan Zone must have a ticket regardless of age.

Covid-19 FAQs

Information given at the time of booking will be shared with Test & Protect.  All spectators will scan the QR code and “check in” to the venue using the Check-In Scotland APP

Event plans will be continually assessed by partners against epidemiological conditions and COVID measures will continue to be monitored in the run up to and throughout the tournament to ensure they remain appropriate.

  • There will be physical distancing measures implemented across the whole of the Fan Zone.
  • We’ve increased the frequency of cleaning in all our public areas, including tables, toilets and all sporting activations.
  • There are alcohol-based hand sanitiser stations located throughout the Fan Zone.
  • All tables are distanced 2m apart from each other and are allocated to allow spectators to ensure physical distancing is maintained.
  • In the Food and Beverage Garden, we are operating table service only. Orders can be made via a QR code and you will be served whilst you are seated.
  • We are encouraging the use of card and contactless payment methods over cash. We are adhering to the strict safety procedures while serving all food and beverages.
  • All staff will be issued with the appropriate PPE
  • Clear and informative signage will be located throughout Glasgow Green.

We are strongly encouraging all ticket holders and their groups to take a rapid lateral flow test before attending the Fan Zone to help stop the spread of COVID-19. This should be taken at home less than 48 hours before attending, and you should self-isolate with your household and seek a confirmatory PCR test if your result is positive.  

Spectators will be required to wear a face covering whilst moving around Glasgow Green.  Face coverings may be removed when seated at your table in the Beverage Garden or sat /stood within your booking in the Family Area. They can also be removed when taking part on the sporting activations. This has been made mandatory by the Scottish Government, unless you are medically exempt.

We have a maximum capacity of 6 people per table and due to our table sizes we can accommodate 2 people from 2 households, 3 people from 3 households, 4 from 4 households, 5 people from 3 households or 6 people from 1 household. For your safety, please adhere to these Scottish Government guidelines.

As about 1 in 3 people with COVID-19 don’t have symptoms, in the interests of public health we would strongly encourage all ticket holders and their groups to take a rapid lateral flow test before attending the Fan Zone to help stop the spread of COVID-19. This should be taken at home less than 48 hours before attending, and you should self-isolate with your household and seek a confirmatory PCR test if your result is positive.  

You can order home test kits for delivery to your home address, free of charge, via https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests. You can also collect a pack of home test kits from test sites and some pharmacies, free of charge. Parking FAQs

Pay and display bays are located on Greendyke Street where Blu Badge holders can park for free and with no limit on time.

There is no visitor parking near Glasgow Green. 

Bicycle parking is located close to the People’s Palace at Glasgow Green.

There will be an accessible viewing platform, and accessible seating available through the public booking process. 

Accessible toilets are located throughout Glasgow Green.  

There is an autism aware quiet zone located within Glasgow Green. This space offers somewhere quiet and enclosed, where you can be supported by specially trained volunteers from Autism Network Scotland and Autism Resource Centre. Ask a member of staff or volunteer for support and assistance. 

An information point is located beside the Nelson Monument. Support available includes:

  • Event and venue information
  • Travel information
  • Lost and found items
  • Welfare point for lost and found persons
  • Distribution of ‘young visitor wristbands’

We will be handing out ‘young visitor wristbands’ for your little ones to wear in-case they wander off during the excitement of the day! For more information ask a member of staff or visit the information point. 

Any lost and found items will be handed into the Information point and logged into a register. Ask a member of staff for support and assistance. If you believe you have left an item at the Fan Zone please email UEFAEURO2020@glasgow.gov.uk and a member of the team will be able to assist you.

Beverage Garden: Food and beverage can be ordered through the official QR code. Alcohol will be sold and must be consumed inside authorised areas only.  Details of how to order, will be located on each table.  A full table service will be in operation and spectators will be unable to make in-person orders, as per current COVID 19 guidelines.  You must be 18 years of age or older, with valid ID, to purchase, handle or consume alcoholic beverages.

Family Area: Located within the Family Area will be a variety of ‘Grab & Go’ items including: coffee and cake, sandwiches, vegan snacks and waffles, crepes and ice creams.

Take home your own piece of UEFA EURO 2020.  Official merchandise is available from our outlets in the Fan Zone. 

Located next to Nelson’s Monument, a first aid room and mobile first aiders are available.  Ask a member of staff or volunteer for support and assistance.

A free water refill station will be located within Glasgow Green.

There is no ATM located at Glasgow Green.  Nearest ATM locations are located on Saltmarket, towards Trongate. Argyle Street in the city centre also has an abundance of ATM facilities.

There is a dog spending area for use by service/guide dogs only. For more information ask a member of staff or visit the information point.

Before you leave

To enter the venue, you will pass through a ticket check and security screening, which will include a bag and person search. A person search will be by use of a hand-held metal detector to minimise close contact. Items such as bags in excess of 25 litres (e.g. a small rucksack), commercial photography equipment, noise-making instruments, glass containers, bulk food, balls, inflatable items and alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the venue.  There will also be some restrictions on items such as flags and poles, which can’t be over 1mx2m and no large umbrellas.

For faster access, don’t bring a bag. If it’s essential, bags should be no more than 25 litres in size (e.g. a small rucksack) and limited to one per person. Bags will be searched upon entry. Remember there are no cloakrooms or storage facilities available.

Travel Information

Glasgow Green is well served by trains, buses and the subway with only a short walk to the venue.  To experience a positive journey we encourage you to follow the advice as shown. Please check https://www.travelinescotland.com/  for the most up to date travel information, including advice relating to COVID 19. 

Glasgow Central and Queen Street stations are served by local and national train services. These, as well as Argyle Street, High Street and Bridgeton train stations are within walking distance of Glasgow Green.

St Enoch and Buchanan Street stations are well served by the Subway from Glasgow’s west and south side.

There will be no road closures as a result of the Fan Zone, however, a limited number of parking restrictions will be necessary. A small amount of parking spaces will be suspended on the south side of Greendyke Street, between London Road and Charlotte Street. This will occur from 16:00 hours on the 9 June – 10:00 hours on the 13 July 2021. There is still ample parking available and with no road closures being implemented, no alternative parking arrangements have been arranged.

There is no visitor parking near Glasgow Green.
